OUTBACK STEAKHOUSE
TO OPEN IN GONZALES ON JUNE 4
Opening Night to Benefit
Volunteer Ascension
Gonzales, Louisiana, June 2007 – By popular
demand, Outback Steakhouse is opening a restaurant
in Gonzales that will be operated by managing partner
Richard Johnson. Marking the 3rd restaurant in
the greater Baton Rouge area, it will open at 2119
W. Hwy 30 on Monday, June 4th.
The excitement begins
with an Opening Night Benefit for Volunteer Ascension.
Volunteer Ascension, a leading local not-for-profit
service organization, strives to positively impact
the needs of Ascension Parish by promoting and
developing volunteerism. Directly touching an estimated
10,200 individuals in the community through its
volunteer based programs (Community Services, School
Tools, School Uniforms, Make A Difference Day,
and ConnecTeens), Volunteer Ascension is a member
of the Points of Light Foundation.
"We
have high regards for the work being done in our
communities by Volunteer Ascension," says
Bruce Attinger, joint-venture partner for Outback
Steakhouse in Baton Rouge. "We look forward
to hosting a fun evening of great food and hospitality
while raising funds for this terrific organization."
Outback
Steakhouse was honored with the 2006 Platinum Award
in the best steakhouse category in Restaurants & Institutions
magazine’s annual Consumer Choice awards.
Renowned for its bold flavors, Outback Steakhouse
features a menu of uniquely-seasoned steaks, prime
rib, chops, ribs, chicken, pasta, fresh salads,
